Bhagwan Dass – an 11 years old boy, who has dreams to achieve something, a dream to one day become a big man and drive a car. But sad demise of both his parents, when he was only 2 has led him to nowhere but disparity.
He lives with grandmother and 4 siblings, his 2 elder brothers are the only helping hands to the family. His eldest brother works in a studio, where he manages a mere salary of 2000/- and the younger brother works as a laborer where he gets 50/- per day. All the money is mostly spent in the grandmother’s medicines and they manage one meal a day somehow. Bhagwan Dass and his younger sisters are stay home and take care of the grandmother.
Some of Bhagwan’s friends went to the Supportive Education Center in Madanpur Khaddar and told the educators at the center about Bhagwan Dass, the educators went for a home visit to Bhagwan’s house and explained and convinced his elder brothers and grandmother to start sending him to the center.
After a sequel of home visits and sessions with his grandmother and brothers the educator was able to convince them to send Bhagwan to the center, convincing them was tough as they had made up their mind for Bhagwan to make him a laborer too so that he can earn for the family and the 2 sisters who had to be married after a few years.
Now Bhagwan Dass is a regular at the center and is a bright student who is working hard to achieve his dreams and is continuously supported by the educators in all his endeavors.
