• Fun with learning

Well, it was fun seeing small children taking a break from their regular class activities & getting involved in various other activities thereby learning & having fun at the same time. At our Pune center teacher involved students in activities like dance, music, drawing, craft work etc. The children’s were also made to participate in the mud activity where the educator taught them how to make different objects with mud. The overall idea was to develop skills in students so that they can become more active with their growing age.

• Dindi

In Maharashtra Aashdhi Ekadashi of god ‘Vitthal’ is a big festival (as like Jaggannath Rathyatra, Orissa). During this festival people from Maharashtra & Karnataka make groups called warkari & walk towards Pandhrpur Vitthal Tempale, Maharashtra. As in kothrud area majority of people are warkari so we planned to carry out this activity in Kishkindha Nagar, Matoba Nagar Center.

The children’s were made to wear warkari dress wherein boy’s wore ‘Sadara Lenga’, Gandhi cap & girls wore Nawari Sari Traditional dress of Maharashtra and took Tulsi plant in their hands. For this Programme our educator made a ‘Palkhi’ & this rally was called ‘Dindi’. Children enjoyed a lot & sang the songs of gods during the Dindi.
