Who Are We
Aurobindo Chaudhuri Memorial Great Indian Dream Foundation (ACM GIDF), is a social initiative of Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) & Planman Consultants, took of the task of facilitating community development initiatives since the year of its inception in 2001. One of India’s largest and perhaps the most diversified non-profit registered NGO, ACM GIDF was founded by the noted author & management guru Mr. Arindam Chaudhuri in the loving memory of his younger brother Late Shri Aurobindo Chaudhuri.
At ACM GIDF, our strategy involves building all round capacity for vulnerable sections of Indian society to bring forth a holistic and sustainable development. To realize this, we have taken up four core focus areas – Health, Education, Livelihood and Environment. We believe addressing these basic needs together is the key criteria for a disadvantaged community to survive and eventually break the fetters of poverty. The multi-faceted approach encompasses both the rural and urban poor – through initiatives that empower India’s less privileged sections, and help them belong to mainstream growth.
Till now, in less than a decade, we have made a difference in the lives of millions of people. ACM GIDFhas a dedicated team of more than 100 women & men representing the cultural, linguistic & socio economic diversity of the country spanning a range of professional experience required for its initiatives. The team includes professionals from management, social, software, finance, administration, urban & regional planners, researchers & training personnel, and educationists.
