Our Nation, Our Pride

26th January is considered as one of the most important days in Indian history. In the year 1950, India’s constitution came into force and was declared as a true sovereign nation. Since then every year this day is celebrated all over the country, especially in the capital, New Delhi where a grand parade is held from the Rajghat, along the Vijaypath.
The same level of enthusiasm is also seen in other parts of the country with schools & colleges conducting cultural events to celebrate the day and even communities and organizations that proudly hoist the national flag every year.
Like every year, children in ACM GIDF also showcased their patriotism by actively participating in different activities that were organized for them in classes on the eve of Republic day. All the seven states had come up with unique ideas of celebrating the day. Children in the Hyderabad & Bengaluru centers came dressed as famous freedom fighters & politicians. While students in the other centers colored the national flag & also sang the anthem once the teacher explained to them about importance of the day and even people who played a significant role in making India a sovereign nation. Once the activities were done, the day was called off by distributing chocolates & goodies to the children.
